I am sending my greeting to the participants and guests of the Week of Russia-Nepal Friendship.
Russia and Nepal are bound by long-standing and kind relations. These relations have never been affected by any
disagreements, are based on mutual sympathy, respect and have enjoyed cordial ties irrespective of political
The people of our countries show an amazing ability for perception of each other’s cultural and spiritual values.
Russians have always displayed keen interest towards Nepal, its culture, art and nature. After visiting this Himalayan
country Russian tourists stay charmed with the beauty of its mountain heights, temple complexes, hospitality of people
and diversity of fauna reserves.
Our country is also willing to share the achievements of its material and spiritual culture. At this time, the Week
of Russia-Nepal Friendship gives Nepali community an opportunity to take a closer look at a new, dynamically developing
Russia, different areas of its life and national traditions.
I am confident that the upcoming events during the Week of Russia-Nepal Friendship will give momentum to the
friendship between Russia and Nepal and become the driving force of further extension of bilateral relations which have
a great potential.
